Meet the Talent of Act4Murder
Ron Altman - Actor
Ron is retired from the United States Information Agency in Wash. DC, where he was a Television Broadcast Technician. He had a long career in radio and television, both as a technician and as an announcer/narrator. Having retired to Florida, he "discovered" the Corner Pocket Theater, in 2002. There he filled several roles in Christmas Carol and Love, Sex and the IRS, as well as helping with the sound/lighting in Dracula. Since then, he's also been seen in a number of plays at Northwest Florida State College. Ron keeps trying to "retire" from Act4Murder but so far we've managed to keep him in his favorite role in A CONDO TO KILL FOR.
Cynthia Bergquist - Actress
Cynthia is a mother of two who lives and works in Ft. Walton Beach. She appeared in the Stage Crafter's presentation of Sylvia, has worked backstage for the Performing Arts Center, and has been performing with Act4Murder since 2004.
Heidi Best-Swift - Actress
Heidi was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, where she studied Communication at the University of Cincinnati. She moved to Fort Walton Beach in 2002, met the man of her dreams, and has two beautiful boys. Heidi recently ended her career in retail management to stay home and focus on her boys, which also gives her more time for Act4Murder!
Sheila Boutwell- Actress
Sheila was born and raised in Alabama, and was nicknamed "Miss Hollywood." She moved to the Emerald Coast after marrying a Destin native. They have been married 25 years and have two beautiful daughters and are grandparents to two amazing grandbabies. She spends her days meeting and working with some of the nicest people in Okaloosa Island in the Okaloosa County Tax Collector's Office. When she isn't working, whe loves kayaking, hiking, yoga on the beach, zumba, and 80's Dance Parties! And of course... Act4Murder!
Chablis - Mascot
Chablis was the first official mascot for Act4Murder. She was naturally photogenic and loved posing for the camera. You'll find Chablis on almost every flyer, poster and online promotion we have. She was loved by all and is greatly missed by everyone who knew her. Especially her "Mommy," Madam Director. R.I.P. sweet Chablis.
Joe Chase - Actor
Joe is retired from the Air Force and teaches the GED program at Northwest Florida State College. Joe's theater experience began in college with parts in Lil Abner and Becket. During his two tours at Eglin AFB, Joe played roles in The Boyfriend, Arsenic and Old Lace, Damn Yankees, and Bell, Book and Candle. In addition to his work with Act4Murder, Joe is also a major performer for the drama team at his church.
Mark Clutter - Actor
Mark was raised in Virginia, the youngest of three and a product of two school teachers. He graduated from Johnson and Wales University, magna cum laude, in 1999, with a B.S in Culinary Arts and Baking and Pastry. In addition to his work with Act4Murder, he is a District Sales Rep with Merchants Foodservice and owns and operates a catering company/bake shop that is known for their custom three-dimensional cake sculptures. He lives locally with his bulldog, Meatball.
Susan DeJesus - Actress, Stage Manager
Susan moved to the Emerald Coast from Clarksville, Tennessee, where she performed at the Cumberland Arts Centre, The Roxy Regional Theatre, and the Fort Campbell Mann Theatre. In addition to her work with Act4Murder, she has also appeared in a Taylor Swift music video, a Dollar General commercial, and student film.
Jim Downum - Actor, Stage Manager
Jim is a versatile and talented actor who, since 2003, has been a real asset to Act4Murder. He has wowed us in BEDLAM IN CABIN B, MURDER BY MERLOT, PEACE, LOVE AND MURDER... well, the list goes on and on!
Debby Geisen - Actress
Debby has lived and worked in several foreign countries, but has now settled down in Niceville, Florida. She started acting in local Community Theater in Newport News, Virginia. Her first role was as one of the showgirls in Gypsy. From there she went on to play the leading role of Hippolyte, Queen of the Amazons, in By Jupiter. She has been with Act4Murder since 2004 and honestly, it just wouldn't be the same without her!

Paula Hilton - Founder, Director, Producer, Writer, Actress &
Stage Manager
Paula is the founder of Act4Murder. She has written 32 plays for Act4Murder to date, and directs and produces all plays. Act4Murder performs her plays for public and private events, as well as for fundraisers and special events. They have also been performed around the country and the world by other troupes, and are used for fundraisers, private parties, and other types of events by many types of performance groups. One of her favorite parts of the entire Act4Murder experience is working with her family. Both daughters are involved in the company - one is an actress, and the other is the company choreographer, and they both stage manage shows from time to time. Her parents make any needed special props and costumes, and her sister also jumps in whenever needed. It is truly a family affair!
Jessika Kelsh - Actress, Stage Manager, Student
Jessika is a nursing student at Northwest Florida State College, and in the summer, interns at Ft. Walton Beach Medical Center and bar tends on Okaloosa Island. She is aone busy girl! She performed extensively in high school and has been a fantastic actress with Act4Murder since she was 16 years old. She also stage manages many of our productions and helps out founder Paula (her Mom!) every chance she can.
Rochelle Kimball - Choreographer
Rochelle works in business development managing several projects, and lives in Fort Walton Beach with her husband and three children. Rochelle is the choreographer for Act4Murder, and has choreographed dance routines for all shows needing that "special something" to bring the death scene to life! And she really brings it, because as it turns out, all the actors are actually afraid of her. Go Rochelle!
Chris Manson - Ninja, Actor, Stage Manager
During his youth, Chris performed stand-up comedy, published his own humor magazine, won several "Addy" awards for print and radio advertising, and is an award-winning journalist and cartoonist. In addition to acting, Chris is the editor for the Beachcomber Magazine. He has also written for "Mad Magazine," "Rock & Rap Confidential," "Amplifier Magazine" and the Internet site cdreviews.com. For Act4Murder, Chris is our NINJA! He does it all and does it well!
Kristi Morris - Actress
Kristi moved to the Gulf Coast in 1996 after graduating with a BA in Broadcasting from Oklahoma City University. Before her move she worked at Channel 5, the local ABC affiliate in OKC. She also put her thespian skills to work in multiple productions dating back to junior high. Upon arrival in FL, Kristi worked in radio until she left the industry in 2006 to pursue a new path in relations management in the healthcare field.
Ken Olson - Actor, Stage Manager
Back in his pre-collegiate days, Ken aspired to follow in his grandfather's footsteps and become an actor and director. The realization of that dream changed when he discovered that there was more consistent money in engineering and pursued that avenue instead. When Ken is not practicing martial arts, taking pictures, or keeping up with his sons' activities, he is utilizing his engineering degree (and maybe even his acting skills) working as a Program Manager at Eglin AFB. He mows his lawn and receives his snail mail in Mary Esther.
Missy Rogers - Actress
Missy has a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and is the CEO of a local non-profit. She participated behind the scenes in several Act4Murder fundraisers before joining the troupe several years ago. She's taken on several fun roles in MUSCLING IN ON MURDER, BEBOPPED AT THE SOCK HOP, and PEACE, LOVE... AND MURDER.
David Smith - Actor
By day David arises early, sneaks into people's back yards and makes their swimming pools a better place to swim. He has been a sports jock all his life but decided it was time for a new challenge. He always had a desire to act, so auditioned for Act4Murder and wowed us all with his charisma, charm and natural talent. Just ask the ladies!
Sally Whitesell - Actress
Sally has her own training and consulting company and teaches yoga at Bluewater Fitness Center. She is originally from Indiana but now enjoys life in Niceville with her husband Steve and dog Tele. Sally has appeared in many local and national television commercials and training videos and has worked on two major films. She hosted over 60 commercially produced music video programs called The Jazz Box, interviewed successful CEOs on Success Stories and performed improv on The Comedy Warehouse.
Matt Williams - Actor
Matt is a registered nurse by day and an aspiring actor by night. He lives in Niceville with his wife and children. He was raised around a real cast of characters growing up on the Mississippi coast. He draws his acting inspiration from the classic physical comedy actors. In his spare time he is a Cub Scout Leader.
Kay Yarbrough - Actress
As a theater major at Auburn University, Kay was involved in several productions onstage and behind the scenes including Celebration, Picnic and A Man for All Seasons. She has performed in community theater in Georgia and Florida in productions of The Miracle Worker, Death Trap and No Sex Please, We're British, as well as several television commercials. Her performances are dedicated to her late father who said she would never make a dime acting.
